Class Work - Caddo Magnet High School Fencing

Fencing classes Information

Beginning and Advanced Classes:

Each Student:

is responsible for a $20 class fee per semester.
must purchase a t-shirt ($10) to wear in class each day for a grade
must wear long pants or special fencing pants to participate in fencing each day.

Grading:

10 points per day for a dress out and participation grade
Daily points can be taken away for not participating, not dressing out in appropriate clothing, not caring for equipment, and not showing effort during activities.
midterm and final exam each count for 20% of semester overall grade.
various tests and assignments may be given throughout the semesters (due dates will be posted on this page).
progress reports to take home and get signed (at 4 weeks mark) will only be given to those students currently earning below 85% (B).

Team Class (6th Hour):

Each student is responsible for a $20 class fee per semester
Much of the grading during the year will be on a subjective basis. Participating on a daily basis will be included.
midterm and final exam each count for 20% of semester overall grade.
progress reports to take home and get signed (at 4 weeks mark) will only be given to those students currently earning below 80% (B).
